I ordered this for my kids to play around and fight over like the two pictured in the product photos. In fact they didn’t fight and had some wild jam sessions banging on the drums with their hands (no drum sticks for the toddler, won’t make that mistake no thanks).
When you open the box, you’re greeted with a bunch of things, including a USB cable and the 5V/1A charger (finally a charger!) but… why isn’t this battery powered? I understand it can be used with a mobile battery, but shouldn’t the battery be hidden inside with the electronics? Well that’s one of the reasons I can’t give this 5 stars, I think it was an unfortunate oversight to omit the battery in the product’s design, but otherwise this thing is amazing!
Now if you’re an adult looking for a pro drum set, look elsewhere. The sound kits are not perfect and the drum pads are small, but this is clearly a toy and has typical toy features, but what a fun toy for kids to learn different sounds, practice following rhythms, and just go crazy smashing things without us parents getting angry. The kits are varied enough and one even comes close to the famous 808 (yes I’m old enough to recognize that).
I did notice my toddler couldn’t help reaching for the control buttons on top, and was constantly either increasing the tempo or volume to the max. He likes all buttons and in his mind ALL buttons on this toy are fair game. I wish the designers would have at least hidden the buttons in the back, or behind a panel that’s a bit more difficult to open, but then again this toy is designed for “6+” and so technically a toddler shouldn’t be playing with this.. well with parental supervision it’s fine but it’s a pain constantly trying to stop him from raising the volume and causing chaos. The drum pad is flexible and can be rolled for easy storage and carrying, but I think the electronics/speaker part would break if it was dropped, so it’s probably a good idea to be careful handling this toy.
One thing to note, the lowest volume is incredibly loud, so if you live in a typical Japanese apartment I can guarantee your neighbors will hear you and be quite annoyed. In that case I recommend using headphones which will sound even better than the included 2W speakers (which are acceptable, mind you).
This drum set also has other cool features, you can plug it into a computer and capture the MIDI signal, or you can plug it to a smartphone and jam to music on your phone. It can record your session directly on the device, and you can play it back for fun.
The Japanese/English/French/other language instruction manual explains all of this and is worth reading since it’s almost overwhelming how many ways you can use this.
Personally I think this is an AWESOME gift for any kid (maybe not for teens) and they are almost guaranteed to have a blast. We haven’t tried the pedals yet, but they are very lightweight and plastic, so i can’t imagine them being so useful (although you do get two additional sounds when using them, so it might be worth it after all). Overall this is an awesome drum set with some very minor annoyances, but knowing that I would still highly recommend it.
音楽会の練習で買いましたが、子供がすごく楽しんでいます。
面倒臭がりの私には気軽に出し入れ出来そうで出来ない&出しっぱなしだとホコリがついてしまうので上に布を被せていつでも遊べる状態になったままにしています。
なぜここまで高評価なのか謎です。
1,バッテリーがない。
2,フットペダルは安物。バネ式かつ入力ポイントが悪いのか二重入力されることがあり気持ちが悪いです。
3,最低音量が大きい。
4,録音再生が実際に叩いたテンポよりも遅い。
5,クラッシュの音量が小さすぎる。
レビューが高評価だったので、それを信じて購入しましたが……悲しいですね。他のレビュアーとは感性が違うようでした。
総じて8000円の価値はないと感じられました。4000円なら許したと思います。
本日到着、早速試してみると音が出ない部分があるので返金ではなく交換をお願いしたいのですがどうしたらいいのでしょうか？

仕事の待機時間にドラムの練習をしたいと思い，
持ち運びに便利なものがあればと思い購入。
結論から言うと，生ドラムに馴染んでいるなら，これは無理。
ドラムに心あれば納得いかないです。
これからの人にしても，これではリズム，テンポのトレーニングにはなりません。
叩いたら音が出て楽しい，という子供向け。
まず，叩いたときの振動で，他のパッドの音も鳴ってしまいます。
よほどがっちり固定すれば，この現象は「ある程度」抑えられますが…。
パッドの間隔が狭く小さいのを許容しても，大人では手が絡まります。
とても練習になりません。
いずれにしても，これは害悪，イメージトレーニングに徹する方がずっと有益です。
